Kristin is responsible for developing and managing the execution of a rigorous research agenda focused on advancing effective criminal justice reforms. She identifies promising opportunities to design and evaluate criminal justice policies and programs, as well as to test innovative concepts aimed at improving outcomes for people involved in the justice system, and ensuring the stability and vitality of families and communities.
Prior to joining Arnold Ventures, Kristin led national, state, and local projects related to the implementation and evaluation of juvenile and adult justice reforms; conducted research spanning the pretrial phase to post-disposition; and directed process and outcome evaluations for a variety of criminal justice interventions and programs. She is the author and co-author of a number of research articles and reports about the use of data and evidence in the criminal justice system. She is committed to research-driven policies and reforms that advance racial equity and social justice and elevate voice and agency for those who have experienced violence and trauma.
Kristin holds a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from the University of Cincinnati, a master’s in criminal justice and criminology from the University of Missouri – Kansas City, and a bachelor’s in criminal justice from Sam Houston State University.
