Roshni Mehta

Rosh provides strategic support to the External Affairs team. In this role Rosh engages in political reform on criminal justice, democracy, climate change, immigration, public finance. Her work includes coalition management, legislative tracking, advocacy and lobbying strategy, and identification of investment opportunities to advance justice and equity.

Before joining Arnold Ventures Rosh served as a Coro Fellow for Public Affairs in Pittsburgh where she worked in the government, nonprofit, and business sectors. While placed at Mayor Marita Garrett’s office in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, she conducted an economic and political analysis and evaluated the strategic priorities of the community. With this knowledge, Rosh developed a plan to guide Wilkinsburg towards a more equitable and economically secure future. During her placement at nonprofit Neighborhood Allies, Rosh was responsible for developing a multimillion dollar national grant proposal to tackle racial inequity through an economic development lens.

She is a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where she studied ethics, history, and public policy. At Carnegie Mellon University, her research focused on bolstering small businesses by revitalizing storefronts to attract Pittsburgh residents to historically underfunded communities. Rosh also served as student body president and represented 13,000 students’ needs to the Board of Trustees on issues such as food insecurity, diversity & inclusion, and affordability. Combining public policy, sociology, and economics, Rosh has taken a novel approach in leading projects on gun reform for the city of Pittsburgh and civic engagement for Jackson Clark Partners, a social impact consultancy. In 2016 she was recognized for her accomplishments and was selected as the Pennsylvania delegate for the United States Senate Youth Program to meet President Obama, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Senators Casey and Toomey.
